All About Amy

Amy Scott is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP #2660) specializing in the assessment and intervention of students’ learning and behavior difficulties. School/Educational Psychology has been Amy’s passion and professional focus for over 22 years. Prior to starting a private practice Amy was a School Psychologist for Contra Costa County Office of Education Counseling and Education Program for children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges.  In addition, Amy has extensive experience providing both assessment and direct counseling and behavioral support services for students on the Autistic Spectrum.  Districts have hired Amy to conduct Assessments Nationwide for children that are placed at non-public agencies.   

In addition to working as a School/Educational Psychologist, Amy was an Adjunct Instructor in the School Psychology Department at San Francisco State University teaching third year graduate courses.   Amy served on the school psychology program advisory board for the SFSU and was a board member for A Better Way Adoption and Foster Family Agency in Berkeley, California. 

Currently, Amy provides Educational Psychological Services in the San Francisco Bay Area.  In addition, Amy founded and operates a non-profit organization focused on youth suicide prevention and awareness and she is a Youth Mental Health First Aid Educator.
